    Why Child Psychology at Bay Path University?

    Child Psychology majors study all aspects of child development physical, intellectual, emotional, social and moral as well as other areas that play a key role in development, including parenting, family dynamics and the education system.

    The program is designed for those interested in working with children of all ages, from infants to adolescents. While studying child psychology, you will:

    • Learn the stages of development and significant milestones in a childs life
    • Explore the causes of childhood mental illness and the cultural influences that shape identity
    • Study the fundamentals of early intervention programs
    • Complete diagnostic reports and behavioral observations
    • Become proficient in the essentials of family communication
    • Engage in special projects and class assignments that focus on active learning and practical application of concepts
    • Have the opportunity to complete an internship with one of Bay Paths Community Partner organizations

    Entry Requirements

    • Official high school transcripts translated into English
    • One of the following: SAT, ACT, TOEFL, or IELTS scores (if the language of instruction in your high school or college was in English this can be waived)
    • Two letters of recommendation from your teacher, school counselor, or principal 
    • One to three page typed essay in English addressing what you hope to gain from your college experience as well as what you will contribute to the Bay Path University community
    • Photocopy of a valid passport
    • Bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover one full year of study at Bay Path University

    Bay Path University enjoys a rich tradition of international student enrollment. International students interested in enrolling in any of the associate or baccalaureate degree programs are required to submit the following requirements:
