    About

Overview Classics is the integrated study of the language, literature, art, society, history, and thought of the ancient Greeks and Romans.  In Classics, we draw on a variety of approaches in order to develop a multi-faceted view of Greek and Roman culture--for that reason, Classics is an multi-disciplinary discipline, combining the methods and insights of philology, literary analysis, archaeology, religion, anthropology, history, and philosophy. Learning outcomes The overarching goal of the Classics program at Hendrix College is two-fold:  to introduce students to the languages, literature, and cultures of Greek and Roman antiquity, and to help students develop the skills necessary to interpret, synthesize, and engage ancient material. There is both a major and minor in Classics at Hendrix College , and both programs draw on courses in the language and culture of Greek and Roman antiquity.  I want to find another Bachelor Course Accreditation Officially accredited/recognized by the The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Hendrix College (HC) is a very small (enrollment range: 1,000-1,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Methodist (United Methodist Church - www.gbhem.org) religion.
