Overview The Computer Information Systems program of Tarleton State University is designated as a STEM program as defined by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This designation has a direct impact on international students interested in these programs as it allows those with F-1 visas to remain in the United States after graduation for an additional 24 months under the optional practical training STEM extension.
