About

The BSc in Computer Science provides learners with a gateway to employment within the computing industry; it is aimed at providing the fundamental skills for a broad range of roles. This qualification is designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to enhance their career potential in the computing profession. The courses are aimed mainly, but not exclusively, at those who have some computing experience.

Entry Requirements

UCAS Tariff - 64 points
A minimum of 64 UCAS Tariff points from the following: GCE A and AS Levels BTEC National (90 Credit Diploma, Diploma or Extended Diploma) in a relevant subject Scottish Higher/Advanced Higher with at least one subject at Advanced Higher. For mature applicants, experience may be taken in lieu of qualifications that carry UCAS Tariff points. EU and International Applicants NARIC confirmed equivalent of 64 UCAS point

GCSE/National 4/National 5 - GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above

English Program Requirements

IELTS (Academic): 6
IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Equivalent English language qualifications may be acceptable for applicants requiring a visa

Fee Information

Tuition fees will remain unchanged for the duration of a student’s continuous enrolment. Textbooks – varying costs (optional) Additional compulsory course costs will be paid for using the Career Degree Bursary. The Career Degree Bursary allows students to access the remainder of the Career Degree Bursary (up to a maximum value of £500 / £250) for additional optional courses, workshops, professional memberships and resources. There is no cash alternative. Students who wish to access opportunities in excess of the Career Degree Bursary may do so at full cost to themselves.
