    About

    The emphasis is on implementing computing solutions for the modern computing environment e.g. energy, transport, high-tech houses, mobile technology, monitoring & smart sensors, green & sustainability technology to name but a few. In the first year you will have one mini-project and one group project. In the second year you will have one/two mini-project/s and a main project. This will enable you to apply the skills that you have developed to complete a practical task of your choice. In the past, previous students have designed websites, mobile apps, Windows apps and networks.

    Entry Requirements

    UCAS Tariff - 48 points
    You will need a minimum of 48 UCAS points which may be gained from the following qualifications: •Two A Levels •One A Level plus an AS Level pass in an appropriate subject •A BTEC National Diploma or Extended Diploma •A BTEC National Certificate •A level 3 diploma or equivalent such as NVQ, GNVQ, International Baccalaureate, Scottish Certificate of Education •A recognised (Kite marked) Access course In addition, you will need GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C, or level 2 equivalent Alternatively, if you have significant relevant work experience or other professional qualifications you may be eligible for the course. Contact the College who will be able to advise and discuss your suitability for the course.

    Access to Higher Education qualifications from a kite marked course is accepted
