The Higher National qualifications in Construction and The Built Environment are aimed at students wanting to continue their education through applied learning. Higher Nationals provide a wide-ranging study of the construction and the built environment sector and are designed for students who wish to pursue or advance their career in construction and the built environment. In addition to the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the study of the construction and the built environment sector, the Higher Nationals in Construction and The Built Environment give students experience of the breadth and depth of the sector that will prepare them for further study or training. The Level 5 Higher National Diploma consists of the Level 4 Higher National Certificate (from a defined specialist pathway) plus an additional 120 credits at Level 5 delivered via one of the specialist pathways.

Standard entry is 32 UCAS points consisting of at least 1 full Level 3 qualification in a related subject.
AS Levels are only counted towards your UCAS tariff in combination with a Full Level 3 qualification.
We welcome applicants who do not match standard entry requirements but who can demonstrate ability to study this subject at university level and can evidence relevant experience.
