It teaches you to work effectively with different construction professionals whether that be designers engineers building contractors or specialist consultants.     The course covers the full lifecycle of buildings from the design planning and contracting of projects to client handover - and even on from there to a buildings end of life. You work on real-life scenarios and case studies and learn from a teaching team with a wealth of industry experience and close collaborative relationships within industry including both regional and national employers.

    Our Construction Management foundation degree will equip you with the skills and knowledge to pursue an exciting career in the industry and to capitalise on the diverse range of opportunities that will be on offer to you across different sectors disciplines and projects.

    Your experience on the course will position you to meet the demands from industry and enable you to collaborate effectively with different construction professionals within the workplace whether that be designers engineers building contractors or specialist consultants.

    This understanding of different disciplines perspectives and interdisciplinary working will be an important attribute in an industry that demands an integrated approach to building projects.

    The course includes units that cover the full lifecycle of buildings from the design planning and contracting of projects through the full phases of construction to client handover and then on to the end-of-life of the building.

    There is a strong focus on employability. As well as bringing a wealth of industry experience to our construction courses the teaching team also utilise close collaborative relationships within industry including both regional and national employers to bring the latest developments techniques and technologies into the taught curriculum. This typically involves specialist presentations and seminars from industry experts as well as site visits which in recent years have included visits to individual projects worth over £1bn.

    2 A level passes (minimum C and D)

    International Baccalaureate (24 points)

    English Program Requirements

    To apply for a place on an undergraduate course (BA/BSc) you need to have completed your high school education (12 years) and have a pass equivalent to two UK A level passes and have the required English language qualification.
