Creative Fashion Design and Textiles (Top-Up)

Top up your existing Foundation degree to achieve a Bachelors degree in Creative Fashion and Textiles. You will decide which practical methods you wish to pursue and enhance; using previous knowledge to build a strong portfolio of work taking you in to industry. You will refine the disciplines of fashion and/or textile design along with craftmanship by designing your own collection of garments, accessories or fabrics. Translate and experiment your 2D and 3D designs, building upon previous skills and honing these to an independent level. Explore innovative and creative workshops in our studios to develop your practice. Tailor this year to suit your creative strengths and build your portfolio towards the industry career you require. You will develop a unique identity that suits your ambitions. You will gain knowledge about ethics in fashion and textiles whilst refining skills, to help build a sustainable industry. Career Progression Our students go on to work in industry, develop enterprise opportunities or explore further research at postgraduate level. Many of our graduates go on to successful careers with high profile companies like Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson, All Saints and River Island, choosing from roles such as fashion designer, textile designer, studio manager, art director, product developer, pattern cutter and materials research.
