    Overview The The Criminal Justice program of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte provides a broad educational background emphasizing social science and basic knowledge regarding crime and social control.  Students at UNC Charlotte learn about crime as a social problem, develop a critical understanding of the criminal justice system, address problems faced by the victim, and study the principles involved in achieving planned change.Undergraduate students pursuing the academic study of the criminal justice system, a career in the criminal justice field, or preparation for graduate study may select the criminal justice curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree.InternshipWhile not required, students are encouraged to participate in internship programs available through the department.
