    Overview Criminology at University of South Florida St Petersburg is a discipline that embraces scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the etiology, prevention, control and treatment of crime and delinquency.  This includes the measurement and detection of crime, legislation and practice of criminal law, theory testing, policy analysis and program evaluation as well as the law enforcement, judicial and correctional systems. This field is by definition multidisciplinary and includes scholars from sociology, political science, psychology, public administration, law, statistics, geographic modeling and other areas.The programmeGraduates of the Criminology program at  University of South Florida St Petersburg have gone on to work in law enforcement, both locally and federally, as well as other aspects of the criminal justice system including the court system and corrections. Other graduates have chosen to go on to either law school or graduate school.While earning a degree in Criminology at USFSP students have the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses. Our required courses focuses on developing applied knowledge and critical thinking skills through courses on theory, research and crime reduction and analysis. In addition we have a wide variety of elective courses that allow students to explore many other aspects of the system and criminological issues in general. Some of these courses include crime in the media, juvenile justice, drugs and crime, cybercrime, critical issues in policing and the American correctional system. Additionally, we have a dynamic internship program that has tremendously benefited our students. Ultimately, our goal is to provide students with valuable critical thinking, research, and writing skills that will make them better citizens and professionals. I want to find another Bachelor Course
