    Become an expert in how the cultural and creative industries operate, the ways in which media shapes our lives and how we, in turn, influence the media and creative sectors. On our flexible Culture, Media & Creative Industries BA, you'll study a huge variety of topics - from film, music, games and immersive technologies to theatres, museums, heritage, contemporary art and more. With a strong focus on your professional development, studying this degree will provide you with a springboard into careers across the cultural sector. This is a theory-based course with close connections with industry experts and some practical assessments. Our BA centres around three main areas: Media and Communications Cultural Studies Creative/Media Industries and Institutions Your optional modules will allow you to shape the degree around the areas that interest you most – you can either specialise in a topic or experience a broad range of themes. With a strong focus on professional development, this degree is perfect if you are looking for careers in the cultural, creative and media industries or work in various roles that cover arts management, communications, publishing, public relations, advertising, policy or marketing.Our BA centres around three main areas: Media and Communications Cultural Studies Creative/Media Industries and Institutions Your optional modules will allow you to shape the degree around the areas that interest you most – you can either specialise in a topic or experience a broad range of themes. This is a three-year course that comprises of modules totalling 360 credits. Your core modules provide a foundation for the degree and the diverse optional modules on offer will appeal to a wide range of creative subjects as well as giving you the opportunity to discover new areas of study. Modules cover varied topics such as creativity, diversity, fashion, gender, intersectionality, memory, music, publishing, work in the cultural industries, and visual culture amongst others. The course also gives you the opportunity to put theory in to practice via project-based modules in years 2 and 3 which will involve organising and participating in public-facing events With a strong focus on professional development, this degree is perfect if you are looking for careers in the cultural, creative and media industries or work in various roles that cover arts management, communications, publishing, public relations, advertising, policy or marketing.
  • Insight into how culture and media are produced, distributed and consumed across a wide variety of sectors and industries from fashion, VR or computer games to arts management and contemporary art. You'll apply concepts to real-world examples, work on industry-facing live-briefs and explore media and arts management and cultural policy.
  • The degree has a strong focus on creative careers and you'll gain practical and transferable skills to prepare you for working in the cultural, creative, media and digital sectors.

    Entry Requirements

    Certificate of General Secondary Education will not be considered for direct entry - study our International Foundation Programme instead. Please note: students completing King's International Foundation programme will not be able to progress onto our Dentistry programmes.

    To study at King's, it is essential that you can communicate effectively in English and are able to do so in an academic environment. You are usually required to provide certification of your competence in English before starting your studies.
