    Doctor of Philosophy in Data Science and Analytics

    The PhD in Data Science and Analytics at Kennesaw State was founded in 2015. This degree is at the intersection of computer science, statistics, mathematics, and business.  In the program, you'll engage in relevant research with faculty from across our eleven colleges.

    This degree will train you to translate structured and unstructured, complex data into information to improve decision making. The data science and analytics curriculum include heavy emphasis on programming, data mining, statistical modeling, and the mathematical foundations to support these concepts. Importantly, the program also emphasizes communication skills – both oral and written – as well as application and tying results to business and research problems.

    The Data Science and Analytics Doctorate program is creating the next generation of data science and analytics leaders. The curriculum includes emphasis on programming, statistical modeling, mathematical foundations, oral and written communication skills. Students will work directly with industry partners and researchers to solve real problems.

    3. Official transcripts from each college or university attended. If the institution is outside the U.S., an international credential evaluation will be required. Applicants must not send international transcripts directly to Kennesaw State University.
    4. Bachelor's degree from a Regionally Accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.75

    How to Apply

    1. There is a $60 non-refundable application processing fee*.

    2. New applicants will be asked to create a login for the application portal. This login will also be used to upload documents, check the receipt of supplemental materials and check the status of your application.

      2. For previous or current KSU graduate students who are pursuing a different program or degree level (e.g., Certificate, Masters, Specialist, or Doctorate).

    NOTE: For those who have been previously enrolled as a KSU Graduate student and wish to continue in the same program**, but have NOT taken classes in the last 3 semesters (your status is inactive), please complete the Readmission Form.
