    The MA Digital Media Practices course focuses on a distinctive blend of creative, practice-led projects, critical media studies and work across disciplines such as:

    • visual culture

    You'll learn to navigate global contemporary issues in media including gender, race, ecology and politics. You'll achieve this by analysing media texts and technologies, users, audiences, platforms and digital cultures.

    Using digital media technologies, platforms and tools, you'll create and lead independent media projects. You'll conduct research which is relevant to media, arts, culture and technology, and apply critical thinking, creative techniques and appropriate research methods.

    We update our selection of media practices and industries every year, to ensure the course remains relevant over time. You'll have the opportunity to focus on one study area in more detail, with example study areas including filmmaking, sound, journalism, game cultures and media ecologies.
