    Doctor of Medicine

    About

Today’s rapidly evolving and globally focused healthcare landscape requires medical professionals who not only excel in clinical expertise, but who also understand the complexities of healthcare policy, ethical decision-making and the social determinants of health. Doctors who are patient-centred, safety-focused and culturally responsive, and who are equipped to work within digital health systems, are in demand.

The four-year graduate-entry Doctor of Medicine will embed you within Macquarie University Health – Australia’s first university-led integrated health centre. Home to the nation’s only not-for-profit hospital on a university campus and 30 specialist clinics, this cutting-edge environment seamlessly integrates learning with patient-centred clinical care, and world-class health and medical research. Structured Australian and international clinical experiences are integral to the degree, giving you unrivalled opportunities to experience diverse health systems, cultures and clinical presentations. You may also apply for our GP Intensive Stream: created to address workforce shortages, it will prepare you to become a specialist GP.
