Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM)

    About

The First Professional Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) builds upon our MSTCM curriculum with an additional focus on integrative and collaborative health care, research literacy, and evidence-informed practices. At a time when acupuncture is an increasingly valued treatment in mainstream care for patient wellness, it is important for acupuncturists to be equipped with the knowledge, communication, and research skills to effectively work with Western medical doctors, physical therapists, and other health-care professionals

    How to Apply

    Application Instructions

Step 1: Complete the Online Admissions Application and Submit the Application Fee

Start your online application by clicking the spring or fall application links above. There is a non-refundable $65 application fee payable online upon submitting your application.

Step 2: Submit Your Supporting Materials

When submitting your materials, please make sure that all materials clearly state your full name. We recommend utilizing headers and page numbers (if needed) to maintain the order of your documents. Please allow 5 business days for processing. Please check your programs apply page above for the specific application requirements.

Step 3: Submit Your Official Transcripts

We require official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate academic institutions attended, regardless of whether or not you received a degree. This includes all transcripts from any institution where you have earned 7 or more units and transcripts from any schools that appear on your degree conferral transcript. Be sure to mention on your application if your transcript is listed under a different name.

All transcripts from schools outside the United States and Canada must be sent, at the applicant’s expense, to World Education Services (WES) foreign credential evaluation service. A course-by-course report* is required for all programs and will be used in lieu of the CIIS application requirement for original transcripts. CIIS accepts the WES ‘Basic’ report, but applicants may wish to complete the ‘ICAP’.

CIIS will also accept foreign credential evaluations that are in a comprehensive course-by-course format from the current members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
