    Overview Students in the Documentary Studies and Production program at Ithaca College take courses in journalism, television production, and cinema and photography. Our interdisciplinary curriculum prepares students to produce their own documentaries and to understand the growing and complex world of documentary film development. Open electives enable you to tailor your own program.OutcomesOur curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning with authoritative scholars and award-winning documentary makers, both in the classroom and in the field. You’ll also have access to the school’s broadcast studio, professional-grade video cameras, and digital still cameras for your work. Many students choose to study a semester in the school’s Los Angeles program, while others have studied abroad in Australia, London, and Spain. And the Park School’s extensive internship and alumni network opens doors at top media companies, from Mark Burnett Productions and MTV to Authentic Entertainment and National Geographic.At the end of four years you’ll be ready to take your learning to the next level in graduate school and have the broad knowledge and technical skills necessary for a variety of careers  producing, directing, cinematography, film and video editing, news reporting, sound mixing and recording, researching, writing, photography, and production management.
