About
An art and science of insight
Economics gives us a framework to think critically about the decisions we make. As individuals, we make economic choices daily. As a nation, we also make crucial economic choices. By studying economics, you will acquire foundational skills that address both the study of ordinary life and the wealth of nations. You will learn within an environment dedicated to helping you grow into a capable, modern economist.
Economics at Acadia offers you the choice to pursue a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in economics. You can easily pair economics in a double major with business or many other programs. In the BA program, co-op opportunities are available if you want to combine classroom and workplace experience. In the honours program, you can pursue individual research interests and develop advanced skills. You will also benefit from one-on-one faculty mentoring.
Gaining a degree in economics at Acadia sets you on a path to excellence. We have a strong track record. Our students earn admission into graduate studies at prestigious schools. They also pursue successful career paths within banking, government, consulting, and elsewhere.
