    Kennesaw State's economics degree will provide you with the skills you need to analyze market financial behavior, resource allocation, production and distribution of goods and services and policies that affect output, employment, income, trade, growth, and inflation worldwide.

    Economics is the study of business performance, the functioning of regional, national, and global markets, and the mastering of analytical techniques that drive decision-making and understanding market behavior. The primary focus is on problem definition, model development, data gathering and analysis, model solution, and report generation in consumer behavior, business behavior and price determination.

    The best of both worlds, your education will combine a well-rounded business analysis foundation with the practical applications of economics. This program can open your future to virtually limitless possibilities.

    There is a broad range of intellectual challenges within the economics major. Branches of Economics overlap such diverse areas as politics, finance, history, international business, management, marketing, business operations, and psychology.

    With a Bachelor of Business in Economics degree, you'll develop analytical techniques that aid in decision-making and understanding market behavior.     GPA Requirement 

    Graduation from high school with GPA of 2.5 with qualifying SAT/ACT test scores

    (If educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluation
    must indicate GPA)

    First-Year Student Announcement:

    First-year students applying to Kennesaw State University for the Summer, and Fall 2023 semesters may be admitted without an ACT or SAT score if they have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

    * Students who have a GPA of less than 3.2 should submit official ACT or SAT scores along with their high school transcript to be considered for admission. 

    *For students who were educated outside the United States, the GPA must be reflected on the official evaluation (see requirements below). Kennesaw State will review the official evaluation.

    **Being exempt from SAT/ACT does not guarantee that students are also exempt from the English proficiency requirement if they are citizens of non-English speaking countries (see the Validation of English Proficiency section below).

    Note: Test scores are still required for some scholarships (e.g. Zell Miller) and programs (e.g. Architecture).
