    1To major in Economics, in addition to meeting The University of Winnipeg’s general admission requirements, you must have either Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40S or Applied Mathematics 40S. High school students lacking this background can complete MATH-0041 and then MATH-0042 which are offered by the University’s Math Department and which will allow them to register in Intro Calculus and other quantitative type courses which are required for this program. Students will still need to meet the English Language Requirements of the university. The admissions office has expanded the requirements to include the Duolingo English Test as an approved form of meeting English proficiency for September 2020 and January 2021. The required score will be a minimum of 115 on the test.
