Energy management is the process of monitoring, controlling and conserving energy in a building. With the introduction of the EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings, there is a statutory obligation for all domestic, commercial and industrial buildings to comply. This course aims to prepare graduates to meet the current engineering, energy and environmental challenges facing us on a national and international level. The course will focus on building energy systems, energy assessment, energy policy, facilities management, renewable technologies, taking account of security of supply, competitiveness of our energy supply and the impact of climate change and CO2 emissions.
