    About

    The electronics and computer engineering technology program is designed to prepare graduates for application-oriented technical careers in industry. An emphasis is placed on application of engineering knowledge and methods to develop solutions to technical problems found in modern industry. Graduates will complete a curriculum comprised of thirty-seven hours in electronics and twenty-six hours in computer science.

    We offer a series of courses designed to prepare you for certifications in the various fields involving computers and information technology. Graduates will be familiar with circuit design, simulation, troubleshooting of electronic systems, microcontroller applications, programming, automation and control, and robotics.

    The B.S. in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) prepares you for a career in engineering. You are studying the lifeblood of today's technology: electronics and computers. This field involves almost everything society relies on including air conditioning, airplanes, trains, televisions, electrical power plants, telecommunication, and data centers. You will be engaged in learning methods and gaining skills that will help you adapt to and embrace new technologies and their uses. The ECET principles you will learn can be applied in a wide range of areas including electronic circuits, communications, controls, power electronics, power and energy systems, instrumentation and data acquisition, industrial controls, and technical management. Our graduates have played a part in scientific advancements in a variety of industries such as biomedical, green energy, transportation, communications, entertainment, and manufacturing.
