    BTEC Higher Nationals are designed to provide an engaging specialist vocational programme with a strong work-related emphasis, linked to the requirements of the professional bodies and National Occupational standards. The HNC comprises eight units and the HND sixteen units. You may study on a full or part-time basis. We also offer a top up from HNC to HND. Upon successful completion of the course you will be in a position to progress towards an undergraduate degree or further professional qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related area. You will have developed a range of professional and work-related attributes, enabling you progress to employment.

    Entry Requirements

    UCAS Tariff - 32 points
    The following criteria will be applied for entry to this programme: a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Engineering; an A level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or an adequate performance in more than one subject; other Engineering related Level 3 qualifications; an Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved validating body.

    GCSE/National 4/National 5 - Minimum of three GCSE subjects at grade C/4 or above.
    A level - EE - C
    To include an Engineering-related subject such as Mathematics, Physics, Design Technology.

    Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - PPP
    Engineering required.

    Access to HE Diploma
    Overall pass to include 45 credits at Level 3. Subject required: Engineering or Science.

    Scottish Higher - D
    Engineering-related subject such as Mathematics, Physics, Design Technology.

    Fee Information

    Full-time: £7,750 Part-time: £600 per 15 credits Part-time undergraduate and FD: £875 per 20 credits Bradford College is committed to delivering quality, affordable degrees. The tuition fee rate per year is fixed for the duration of the course providing there is no break in study. You will not be asked to pay these fees up front, as you should be eligible for loans to cover the tuition fees and assist with living expenses from Student Finance England.
