    About

McGill offers a unique English program with courses covering three closely linked subjects: English literature, drama, and cultural studies. This program allows you to explore all three subjects broadly while specializing in one area.

The English Literature option offers a broad overview of the basic texts and methods of the discipline, as well as a wide exposure to substantial areas in the field.

The Department of English offers different literature courses year-to-year. You can find courses covering all kinds of media, styles and periods — from poetry to playwriting and medieval to contemporary literature.
