    Environmental Science Concentration

    About

    Environmental Science is the study of interactions within ecosystems, both terrestrial and aquatic. As the world changes, scientists in this field are paramount to proactively assessing the implications and mitigating risks to the fauna and flora inhabiting those environments.

    In studying Environmental Science, you will partake in discourse around the nature and characteristics of the major environmental issues prevalent in such environments. The focus of learning in this topic is to concentrate on what causes these problems, and develop the resourcefulness to propose solutions.

    Several of Environmental Science courses are offered in alternating years.shows which courses are offered each year and which are offered every other year.

    Concordia’s Bachelor of Environmental Health (After Degree) is an intensive 15-month professional program designed to prepare students to challenge the Board of Certification exam administered by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI).

    The Bachelor of Environmental Health (After Degree) is one of six approved programs in Canada. Students are exposed to current practices and theories in environmental health and have the opportunity to benefit from a 12-week practicum with a health authority in Canada. Space is limited, and students are encouraged to apply early for Spring and Fall intake.

    International Admissions

    Step 1. Get Ready to Apply

    Before applying to Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE), please look over our program selection and check the admission deadlines for international student applications. Apply early, as official transcript requests and study permit applications take time to process.

    To apply online, go to ApplyAlberta. Your application will not be sent to CUE until the international student application fee is paid.

    Step 2. Check English Language Requirements

    Step 3. Submit Your Documents

    Please be sure to submit the following documents in order to complete your application:

    • Proof of English Language Proficiency such as official proficiency exam results
    • Official transcripts from any high school and post-secondary institutions you attended.
    • Additional supporting documentation that may be required for your program.

    Step 4. Accept Your Offer of Admission

    Once all documents have been submitted and evaluated, CUE notifies applicants electronically via email of their admissibility.

    To confirm your offer of admission and ensure that you do not lose your acceptance, you will need to accept your offer by the deadline indicated in your Offer of Acceptance by paying the required registration deposit.

    Step 5. Apply for a Study Permit

    Eligible international students are issued an Offer of Admission and IRCC Letter of Acceptance for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Please use this documentation to apply for your study permit.
