    About

    This comprehensive degree covers all aspects of equine management to equip you with the right skills to run a business that includes the handling and management of horses.

    This degree in equine training and management will provide you with the necessary skills for management within a commercial or competition yard environment, or related industry.

    The course is structured to allow you to pursue your own interests, combining theory with practical outside demonstrations, visits and seminars. Areas of focus include the training and breeding of horses, equine science and estate management. Individual modules cover equine anatomy and physiology, equine welfare and husbandry, equine biomechanics, equine nutrition, and organisation and event planning.

    The course is offered by one of the university's partner colleges: Hadlow College in Kent.

    The programme will produce vocationally strong students who are capable of employment in equine therapy and rehabilitation, and associated occupations or progressing to a relevant top up degree.

    Careers have included, Groom, Trek Assistant, Assistant Yard Manager, Horse Trainer, Equine Yard Manager, Event Organiser, Riding Instructor, Jockey, Competition Rider, Therapy Centre Assistant, Welfare Officer, Equine Veterinary Nurse.
