European Master's in Project Management (EuroMPM)

    About

The substantive idea for the course has been the subject of discussions and meta research within the European consortium of the EuroMPM for many years. The technical focus is based on three fundamental pillars: Standards, processes, methods and tools of project management form the technical basis of the Master's training. There is no restriction to a standard (such as ICB, PMBOK, PRINCE2). Rather, the standards are the content of study. A certification on the basis of a standard is not intended either. Critical scientific reflection of the established standards and the contribution to their development are relevant apart from the substantive knowledge and practical exercise. Another focus is team-oriented project work with a focus on leadership, teams and people. Training is focused on the practical exercise of work in teams. The management of international, intercultural and interdisciplinary (3 x "i") teams is part of this programme, as is the scientific examination of the underlying sociological topics. The project environment and the achievement of the project are of high relevance for project management. Sustainable project management involves the environment and the project contents in the approach to management. Scope, time and budget usually influence quality. Further considerations include the field of sustainability and the stakeholder management. The Dortmund EuroMPM addresses the area of digital change (EuroMPM-IT) as the project organisation (EuroMPM-General), inter alia, through specialisations that adhere to international standards. The European partners enhance this specialisation. Study abroad: In all study programme variations, students have the opportunity to study block courses or a whole semester abroad at our partner universities: KU Leuven: Postgraduate Programme in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Engineering: https://onderwijsaanbod.kuleuven.be/opleidingen/e/CQ_53302800.htm NTNU Trondheim: Master's in Project Management: https://www.ntnu.edu/studies/msproman University of the Basque Country, Spain: EuroMPM: https://www.ehu.eus/en/web/master/master-project-management Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA): Ternopil National Economic University (TNEU): http://www.tneu.edu.ua/project-management/ The international educational concept has successfully been tested for several years in the ongoing study programmes of the European Master's in Project Management (EuroMPM), the Master's Embedded Systems for Mechatronics (ESM), and the Ruhr Master's school.
