    Fancy learning about the important role events have in society and the skills required to plan and stage events to run like clockwork? Then UWS’s BA Events management programme is designed to take your knowledge and skills to the next level.

    You’ll learn about managing projects, budgets and risk management and other operational skills needed to stage events and will develop your understanding of the important role that events have in communities at a local national and international level. You will learn ways that events can be managed to achieve sustainability goals and have a positive impact on society.   

    With close industry partnerships and regular guest lectures from events professionals, the content delivered on this programme aims to provide you with insight and experience of best practice across a range of events sectors, including business events, conferences, sports, music and a range of community festivals.

    Course Highlights

    • The BSc (Hons) Environmental Health with Professional Practice is unique within the UK. Nowhere else in the UK has the academic and professional practice in local authority elements of training being incorporated into one seamless learning experience.
    • We are proud that this degree is professionally accredited by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) and provision of this course resides exclusively in UWS.
    • The BSc (Hons) Environmental Health with Professional Practice provides a direct pathway for you to become an Environmental Health Officer (EHO), by combining both the academic and professional practice requirements of training into the undergraduate degree, leaving students, upon completion of the degree, ready to sit the REHIS Professional Exams.

    Entry Requirements

    Year 1:  Applicants must have completed the Certificate of General Secondary Education plus a relevant Foundation programme or Diploma Year 2:  Community College Diploma

    English Program Requirements

    If you do not fall into any of the categories above you will need to provide proof of your English language ability through the International English Language Test System (IELTS) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

    Duo Lingo

    For 2022-23 entry, the University has approved the use of the online Duolingo English test as evidence of English language ability. UWS will accept an overall score between 90-115 with no component score below 90.

    8. Pay the deposit

    You will be required to pay a deposit to secure your place at the university.

    9: Attend a TEG credibility interview

    The purpose of this interview is to assess if students are credible and genuine. At this stage you will need to prepare your CAS documents for review.

    10. Apply for Visa

    International students, including nationals from EEA or Switzerland, would require a student visa to study at UWS London.
