    About

    This course has been written in collaboration with a team of experienced staff including fashion, textiles, photography, illustration, graphics and business lecturers. Its aim is to allow students to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience to maximize your career opportunities in the fashion and textiles industry. The one year top up course includes the study of innovative textiles incorporating creative design solutions and promotional techniques. Gaining an in-depth knowledge of market trends, you will exercise your judgment in the analysis of research strategies and methodologies. Enrichment studies offer further promotion skills including advanced photographic and staging elements. Engaging an independent way of working, this course offers the chance to determine a self-critical awareness fostering further development for personal motivation. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to engage in national and global competitions and showcase events offering you the chance to build industry contacts and work experience opportunities. In addition, you will be taught how to run your own business giving you valuable expertise in business forecasting, marketing and promotion. Teaching and learning on the course will be delivered through a range of lectures, practical workshops, research seminars, group work, analysis of live fashion events and textile craft fairs. Guest speakers from different areas of the fashion and textiles industry will facilitate professional workshops and Q&A sessions. Undergraduates will be involved in local, national and global showcasing events, competitions and freelance work.

    English Program Requirements


    EU students, for whom English is not the first language, will be required to evidence an IELTS score or 6.0 or equivalent. Equivalences include: • TOEFL written examination score of 550 plus a test of written English (at 4) • TOEFL Computer Equivalent score of 230 • Proficiency in English (Cambridge) at Grade C or above
