    If you love the outdoors and are excited by the challenge of planning and managing our forest lands, taking into account multiple resource users, then the Forest Management program, a major in the Bachelor of Science in Nature Resources degree, may be for you.

    Entry Requirements

    English-language requirements

    English is the language of instruction at UBC. All prospective students must demonstrate English-language competency prior to admission. There are numerous ways to meet the English Language Admission Standard.

    General admission requirements

    • Graduation from high school
    • Minimum of 70% in Grade 11 or Grade 12 English (or their equivalents)
    • At least six academic/non-academic Grade 12 courses (recommended, but not required)

    UBC considers your grades in all academic Grade 11 and Grade 12 classes, paying special attention to courses that relate to the degree you’re applying to.

    Grade 12
    • A Grade 12 English
    • A Grade 12 Pre-Calculus
    • A Grade 12 Biology, a Grade 12 Chemistry, or a Grade 12 Physics (see Related courses below)
    Grade 11
    • A Grade 11 Chemistry
    • A Grade 11 Biology (see Related courses below)
    • If you intend to major in Wood Products or specialize in Harvest Planning and Engineering (Forest Operations), Physics 11 is strongly recommended.
