    Overview The Game Programming major from Champlain College —one of the first bachelor's degrees of its kind in the nation—combines games with the intellectual challenge of software creation to produce a highly versatile and valuable, in-demand skill set.Upside-Down CurriculumThe Upside-Down Curriculum ensures that you are taking key courses in your major beginning in your first semester, starting with Introduction to Programming and Game History & Development. Through your courses, you will acquire a foundation of mathematics, physics, computer science and software engineering necessary for game development, as well as master contemporary technology for 2-D and 3-D graphics. Courses are taught on a variety of platforms, devices and operating systems, including PC/Windows, Apple and iOS platforms, Android mobile, social media, Linux/UNIX, and the latest consumer game consoles and devices. You will design and build artificial intelligence, physics engines and networking systems. You will graduate with unmatched experience in end-to-end game development experience as well as a highly marketable résumé and portfolio.Collaborative Game StudioGAme Studio LogoAn important aspect of the Game Programming major is the collaborative environment of our Game Studio, where Game Programming majors work with their counterparts in Game Art & Animation and Game Design as well as Game Production Management to build games from start to finish. The Game Studio replicates a professional game development setting to give you a firsthand understanding of how creative teams collaborate to develop individual game assets and coordinate them into a functional product.
