    Overview Program OverviewEmphasizing the importance of historical and cross-cultural perspectives, the Gender and Women's Studies program at University of Maryland Baltimore County critically examines the intersections of gender and sexuality with other differences, including, class, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, and ability to make visible structures of power that otherwise remain hidden.Gender, Women's, + Sexuality Studies also offers a Gender and Women's Studies, B.A., Gender and Women's Studies Minor, and Critical Sexuality Studies Minor.To complete the Gender and Women's Studies Certifcate, students must complete 24 credits of Gender and Women's Studies coursework.
