    Overview What is geomatics? It is a broad term that covers most areas of study and professional practices that uses measurements to determine locations on the earth's surface. You will be able to study and work in the areas of photogrammetry, traditional boundary surveying, construction, hydrography, geodesy, geographic information systems (GIS), forensic surveying, manufacturing, and most any other area that uses measurements.The Geomatics program from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University is housed in the College of Science and Technology is the only four-year program in North Carolina that prepares students for professional licensure. The program is unique in design, allowing an easy transition for students coming from community college survey and civil technology programs, traditional campus students, as well as providing an opportunity for distance learning through upper-level online classes.Career Graduates go on to careers in such fields as construction, boundary or hydrographic surveyor, global information system (GIS) analyst, drone operator, geodesist and many more.
