Important information: Due to the ongoing corona crisis we have to organise the Preparation Course 2021 ONLINE! Please find all information regarding the ONLINE COURSE here: https://www.international.uni-kiel.de/en/summer-courses-in-kiel/preparation-course?set_language=en German language course Basic and intermediate courses will be offered at four levels of proficiency (18-20 hours of class per week). Level one: This level is for beginners without any previous knowledge, e.g., students who intend to enrol in English language Master's programmes in Germany and want to acquire basic knowledge about everyday life in Germany. Levels two and three: These levels are for students at the lower intermediate and intermediate stage, e.g., for students with previous knowledge. Your proficiency in the German language will be classified based on a test at the beginning of the course. Level four: This level is for students at the upper intermediate stage, e.g., for students who are advanced within the intermediate level and show relevant results in the placement test. A special programme is offered for Norwegian students: Norwegian students may take part in an additional course (one to two afternoon(s) a week) which not only contrasts special features of both languages, German and Norwegian, but also focuses on culture and aspects of everyday life. Basic knowledge of the German language is necessary to participate in this course.
