    About

    The goal of the Master of Arts in German Linguistics is to teach advanced skills in the areas of diachronic and synchronic German linguistics and to allow students to develop and apply their own ideas. Both traditional and current linguistic methods and theories concerning the description and explanation of language patterns will be covered. The specialization area "Language and Cognition" is offered in cooperation with the Department of English and American Studies and the Department of German as a Foreign Language and addresses theoretical approaches, models, and methods in the area of cognitive language analysis.
