About

Interestings are addressed to seek economic studies with international orientation. Due to the small number of 70 course plants per semester, optimal care is possible. The international nature of the study program is reflected in two foreign languages as well as a compulsory stay abroad through a festival of the study program. The study is divided into two sections, laid in the first technical basis and intercultural competences. In the second, these content is deepened on the basis of several priorities in the international context and applied by self-carried out projects in practice.

English Program Requirements

At the University of Augsburg you can take courses taught in German and English. A few courses are also offered in other languages, especially if you are studying foreign languages.

To be accepted for exchange studies you need to prove that you have the appropriate language proficiency to study successfully at the University of Augsburg:

Depending on the courses that you wish to take at the University of Augsburg, you must provide the following evidence of your language level:

Courses taught in German: German proficiency of minimum level B2
Courses taught in English: English proficiency of minimum level B2

If you wish to take courses in both languages, please submit certificates for both languages.

Please note that even for students who wish to take courses in English only, we still recommend you to acquire some basic level of German proficiency as this will make daily life (e.g. shopping at the supermarket) much easier for you.

How to Apply

Anyone wishing to take up another course of study with a bachelor's degree, state examination or doctorate, applies in 3 steps (this also applies if an assessment test of the preparatory college is necessary or has already been passed):

Print out the PDF (for NC-free courses, please click on "Application for Enrollment"), fill in and sign this "Application for Admission"
Submit this

-> Application for admission (in due time and in due form - information sheet )
together with
-> the certificates ,
-> a notification about the preliminary examination of these certificates ,
-> the necessary proof of German (also applies to German citizens)

-> a copy of your passport
-> and a curriculum vitae

The application and all the necessary documents must be received by the University of Augsburg by July 31 at the latest .
For courses with an NC (admission restriction), this is a deadline . Until then, a recognized German language test at the required level must also be submitted!
For courses in English , an aptitude assessment procedure (EFV) must be completed; this will be canceled in the winter semester 2021/22, a study orientation process may take place. You will find more information here from the end of May.
Applications for courses without NC (without admission restrictions) and without EFV (aptitude assessment procedure) can be submitted by mid-September if you can prove that you have passed a recognized German language test at the required level by then.
