    About

    If your ambition is to pursue a successful career in accounting, this postgraduate degree is your first step towards obtaining professional recognition in this field. It is designed to give you the required entry criteria to pursue a Master of Accountancy or Master of Professional Accounting. To apply, you require either an undergraduate degree (or higher) in any discipline, an Associate Degree in a business discipline, an Advanced Diploma in Business plus five years’ work experience in a related field, or three years full-time managerial or professional experience in a related field. If you have an overseas accounting degree, you will need to have your degree assessed by a professional accounting body before applying. Core subjects include Introductory Accounting, Commercial Law and Management Accounting. Other subjects from which you can choose include Corporate Finance, Economics, and Information Systems for Accountants, Company Law, Company Accounting, Auditing, and Accounting Theory and Applications.

    Entry Requirements

    • Be 18 years of age or older in the year of enrolment.

    English language requirements

    You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

    Recognition of prior learning or work experience

    If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
