Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mining)

The program acts as a foundational year for the Master of Engineering (Mining). It's designed to upskill students for advanced studies and career opportunities. You will:

• study geomechanics, geotechnical engineering and geostatistics
• build skills in mine design, modelling, simulation and mine automation
• conduct risk and uncertainty analyses
• explore mine management, planning and sustainable practices
• develop skills for research, communication, critical thinking, business and management.

Entry to postgraduate coursework programs as a minimum requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification from an approved institution as a qualification for entry. Some of the graduate certificates and graduate diplomas that are offered may be accepted as qualifying work for entry to a Masters program, or as professional qualifications in their own right.
