Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering

Our marine engineering programs are structured so students can complete qualifications in steps. This approach lets you complete a Graduate Certificate in Marine Engineering after six months, the Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering after 12 and a Master of Marine Engineering after 18. You will:

• develop and enhance prior expertise
• build highly sought after knowledge and practical skills
• take core courses intensively, allowing you to complete Submarine Design, Naval Ship Engineering and Systems Engineering within six months
• choose from a wide range of specialist electives.

Industry-sponsored students will also gain practical experience through workplace projects.This program is delivered in collaboration with ASC, Australia's builder and sustainer of the Navy's fleet of Collins Class submarines.

Note: consult the program coordinator before you enrol to check whether particular courses or projects will be available.

Entry to postgraduate coursework programs as a minimum requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification from an approved institution as a qualification for entry. Some of the graduate certificates and graduate diplomas that are offered may be accepted as qualifying work for entry to a Masters program, or as professional qualifications in their own right.
