    Entry Requirements

    Academic Qualifications

    • Applicants who have completed a Diploma of Technician / Technical Diploma in a relevant subject can be considered for year 1 entry of an undergraduate degree
    • Applicants who have followed the IB Diploma curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied
    • Applicants who have followed the A-Level curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied

    Undergraduate Advanced Entry

    Students who have completed a 2 year Diploma or Associate Degree from a recognised institution can be considered for advanced entry onto the 2nd year of an undergraduate degree programme

    English Program Requirements

    English language requirements

    International applicants will need to have achieved an overall of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component/TOEFL 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing or equivalent.

    Graduate careers

    There are many opportunities within the sector for health and social care graduates. These include support management roles in the statutory and non-statutory sectors, including local government and the health boards, such as complaints officer, business manager, training manager, and service manager; and professional roles such as service co-ordinator.

    Possible career paths

    Employment opportunities post study are excellent and Health and Social Care graduates have gained roles as service managers, advocacy, service coordinators, educators and trainers, technician and support workers. Some students progress onto postgraduate study in education, public health, social work, occupational therapy, nursing and research.
