About

Throughout the course you will develop competencies in key skills required for employment in the industry or progression to degree level of study. You will gain and understanding of coaching theories and scientific principles relating to skill acquisition and fitness as well as the importance of research informing effective practice.

You will develop invaluable skills, knowledge and experience of working with advanced performers in golf and how to analyse and develop more demanding and competitive training sessions. You will also gain an understanding of operational and management considerations for working in the golf industry.

On completion of this course you will be prepared for employment as an assistant golf professional or gain third year entry to a related degree programme.

This course helps you to develop the key skills you'll need to work with high-level performers in the golf industry, or progress to degree-level study.

You will develop invaluable skills, knowledge and understanding of working with advanced performers in golf and how to analyse and develop performance in more demanding competitive situations.

You will also gain an understanding of operational and management considerations for working in the golf industry.

Certificate in Professional Golf or relevant other National Certificate.

Alternatively, two Highers and evidence of regular participation in golf - for example club membership and handicap.
