About
Baheehir Universitys Industrial Design Department is located in Istanbul, Turkeys capital of design and an emerging world city. This program aims to provide the necessary facilities to design and improve socially and culturally sensitive, aesthetically suitable, innovational, useful, and safe products.
The industrial design program takes an interdisciplinary approach to education by combining product development with visual communication, engineering sciences and business administration. The department aims to educate students in a wide range of fundamental tools which include research, design methods, development of innovative opinions, formation of prototypes, and computer modeling.
Adopting an emphasis on design as a country policy is vital for Turkey, whose current period of industrialization needs real-world solutions in order to resist conditions of competition from the globalized world and to have an international identity. Our goal, which is adopted from this framework, is to be open to cooperation and projects at national level to integrate the design of industrial products and industry policies. Our other educational responsibilities are to use the whole world as a campus by means of our international cooperations and to open our campus facilities to the whole world. Agreements with œVirginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and œDomus Academy show our dedication to this goal.

Entry Requirements
- General Certificate of Education / Cambridge School Certificate / Cambridge Higher School Certificate
- Minimum of 2 full A-Level academic subject and 50% Successful completion of High School Studies
English Program Requirements
If English is not your first language, or you do not have an internationally recognized English qualification, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability. You can bring one of the internationally recognized test results or you can take the proficiency test of Bahçeşehir University (For Undergraduate Programs Min. Score: 60-Graduate Programs Min. Score: 65)

STEP 1
ONLINE APPLICATION
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
- Submit Copy of Passport
- Submit a copy of Undergraduate Diploma (in English or Turkish)
- Transcript of records/required scores (in English or Turkish)
- Foreign language exam results (if any)
- TOEFL (IBT 79)
- TOMER (B2)certificate (only for programs offered in Turkish)
Please note: Your application will not be taken into consideration by the Admission Committee
until you submit all required documents.

STEP 2
PRE-ENROLLMENT
Follow the instructions on your Conditional Acceptance Letter by sending the deposit and reserve your seat and obtain the Official Acceptance Letter before coming to Istanbul to finalize registration.
STEP 3
PAYMENT
- Cash is accepted at Deniz Bank / B building.
- Credit card is accepted at BAU Financial Office.
Visit International Office when payment is done!

Monday – Friday 9 a.m – 6 p.m
STEP 4
COMPLETE ENROLLMENT
- Go to the Student Affairs office.
- Submit your original documents and payment receipts.
- Get your student account activated at registration office for international students.
- Get information about English proficiency if needed.

STEP 5
RESIDENCE PERMIT
The final step is for you to complete your residence permit application. Visit the International Office and a representative will assist you.

Please bring along with you the following documents:
- Passport
- Photocopy of your passport ID page as well as the pages with student visa and entry stamps (if you require a visa to enter Turkey)
- Student certificate
- Health insurance
- 4 passport-sized photographs
- Application fee receipt (can be paid at Ziraat Bank or Tax Offices)
- Tax number from the tax office
- If you are under 18: Consent letter, birth certificate
- A colored copy of the Residence Permit application form
And you’re done!
