    About

Information technology has never been more important for organisations than today – and not only because they need to be able to process ever growing volumes of increasingly complex information. Reliable, high-performance IT is crucial for companies who wish to maintain their competitive edge, while the increasing relevance of data for digital business models requires rigorous knowledge of business administration and computer science. The B.Sc. Information Systems programme, designed to be interdisciplinary, provides thorough training in both subject areas. Studying this programme you will learn how modern information and communication systems are designed and used in a business context. You will also acquire methodological knowledge in the areas of data analysis, processes optimisation, digital business model design and IT management. On top of that, you will learn to work confidently with a wide variety of media and develop communication and presentation skills. The School of Business, Economics and Information Systems also offers the research-oriented M.Sc. Information Systems degree, which builds on the knowledge gained in this degree programme. When studying this degree programme, you will have the option of completing an English-taught double master's programme in Digital Enterprise Management (DEMA) at the University of Turku, Finland.
