About

The INFOTECH Master's programme provides a unique blend of Computer Science and Electronics/Information Engineering courses within one programme, enriched by non-technical courses enabling interdisciplinary education and training of fundamental methods and scientific skills for development and research in information technology. Information, communication, embedded systems,Â and computer engineering are the key points of the programme. a) All students start with a basic moduleÂ in Higher Mathematics. b) Depending on the specialisation (major) Communication Engineering and Media Technologies Embedded Systems Engineering Computer Hardware/Software Engineering Students select from a number of core and supplementary elective modulesÂ such as Digital Communications, Communication Networks Signal Processing Radio Frequency Technology Distributed Systems, Networks and Applications Visualisation Processor/Computer Architectures and Software Real-Time Programming and Software Modelling, Simulation and Specification Industrial Automation Integrated Circuits and Applications Web based Technologies and Applications c) Attend one lab course d) Carry out a three-month research project or alternatively further two technical modules and one seminar e) Attend one non-technical courseÂ such as Information and Contract Law, Business Management and Administration, or Innovation and Technology Management e) Carry out a six-month Master's thesis project, altogether providing 120 ECTS credit points

Entry Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree (or similar) of at least three-year course of study in fields such as computer science, communications, electrical engineering (communications), electronics engineering, information technology or automation. The cumulative grade point average (CGPA) should be equivalent to "good" or better. Decisions on admittance will ultimately be based on the students' grade point averages and on their educational and professional background in the subject fields. If the university does not support the GPA system, overall averages, percentages, etc., can be used as well.
