    About

The doctoral programme is part of the international cross-disciplinary Collaborative Research Center SFB/TRR 102 "Polymers under Multiple Constraints" funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Mainly focused on physics, projects branch out to macromolecular chemistry and the biosciences, bridging diverse disciplines and topics: polymer crystallisation, surfaces and thin films, nanoparticles, nanostructured polymers and block copolymers, structural investigations by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and amyloid aggregation. Thus, the iRTG addresses common, fundamental issues in polymer structure formation. The programme runs jointly at the universities of Halle and Leipzig. Based on their over 500 years of traditions, students benefit from training at both institutions – allowing for a competitive, multifaceted programme while creating a stimulating research environment with tailor-made individual training plans, fit to the needs of the individual student.
