    Interior and Spatial Design

    About

This one year course will allow you to further enhance your technical knowledge and creative thinking in order to produce design solutions that challenge future-ready contemporary design practice across a range of commercial settings. More in-depth exploration and research of past and present retail and leisure spaces will allow you to experiment with creative thinking in order to produce speculative design scenarios that are fit for purpose and relevant to the interior design industry. Further development of your own personal design style will continue to be the focus in the top up year in order to push boundaries and take creative risks whilst considering the wider ramifications of your design choices. In turn, this will allow for personal investigation and growth which will ultimately be explored in the Honours Project that will go on public show at the end of year exhibition. Digital technology will continue to underpin design concepts in order to create contemporary spaces that engage with the emerging digital society we now occupy. This will be further explored in the top up year with more emphasis on the emerging trends that are driving the design industry.
