    About

Overview The International Business Administration major at Alma College integrates the study of foreign language and culture with a solid business foundation. The program includes 32 credits in business and 24 credits in either French, German, Spanish or Chinese. Your language courses will help you understand the conversation, civilizations, culture, history and literature of other countries, while your business courses will provide a global perspective with a focus upon strategic analysis, business planning and communication skills.Students are encouraged to plan a business-related internship to gain on-the-job experience before leaving college. You might want to gain practical experience in accounting, general business management, finance, non-profit administration or marketing. An internship will not only give you valuable professional training, it will also help you build your professional contacts and meet potential employers. It’s all about planning for your future. CareerIf you enjoy travel and learning about other cultures, this could be a great choice for you. The majority of jobs in international business involve sales and marketing. Sales professionals working in defense industries, maritime shipping, construction or oil field equipment can earn very high salaries.
