    The exchange and trade of goods and services is what defines all our human relationships. That is why I am sure economics needs to have a human perspective and be guided by clear values. I want to understand the economy as something that is not merely a way of maximising returns and having simply a profit mentality; I focus on sustainability and commitment. I envision an economy where globalisation is perceived not as a threat, but as an opportunity for fair and humane treatment. This is one of the reasons I chose the International Business study programme at Karlshochschule. Here, the economy is studied not just in economic terms, but also as a cultural and linguistic phenomenon. Here is where I can acquire the ability to identify differences within and between cultures and to act with confidence on an international level. One of the things that has helped me has been the wide range of management tools available to me at Karlshochschule.
