What you will learn

On this course, you will be introduced to key topics affecting business internationally. You will learn the challenges associated with leading and managing people internationally, and how to overcome them. Our modules are specifically designed to give you all the tools you’ll need to succeed in an international business career. Many of our modules are work placement based, to help integrate your knowledge with work from the very start, without having to extend your studies by a year.

During these modules, you’ll create and develop a personal development portfolio which will include your CV and cover letter, applications, and records of how you secured your work experience. You’ll get a chance to review your skills critically, identifying areas of success and improvement.

Placements

We offer a 12-month placement at the end of year two (Thick Sandwich mode). Alternatively, you can opt for two smaller work experience placements over the years one and two of the programme (Thin Sandwich Mode).

A dedicated employability advisor from MdxWorks can help you search for an employer who can provide with an appropriate placement. S/he will also provide you with guidance and support in preparation for, as well as during and after the placement.

The placement forms the basis for an assessed portfolio. At the start of the placement you will be allocated an individual supervisor who provides support and advice for the duration of the project. You will be supported throughout the course through a series of external guest speakers, workshops and engagement with employers.
