The German language course at level B1 focuses mainly on improving communicative competence based on topics relevant to university life as well as everyday life in Germany. In addition, grammar will be taught and the participants will learn the most important structures of the German language. A special feature is the project work, which improves students' local knowledge and language skills with a focus on current topics.
The language course will be supplemented by an extensive and varied activity programme. This consists of working groups on regional and cultural studies that meet in the afternoons as well as activities that take place in the evenings and on the weekends. Furthermore, there are two day trips to museums in well-known towns included in the course price – for example, a visit to the "House of History of the Federal Republic of Germany" in Bonn and to the "LWL-Museum for Art and Culture" in Münster.
