    International Management

    About

The BA programme in International Management provides students with application-oriented, future-proof, broad, and well-founded knowledge in the field of business administration, with a special emphasis on international management. The degree programme focuses on issues and challenges present in our global economy today. Subjects such as business and sustainability, corporate culture and diversity, and business psychology optimally prepare students for a successful career in international business. The programme includes elective subjects that help students to individually tailor their expertise, providing them with a keenly honed professional profile and future-oriented competencies in fields such as Industry 4.0, innovation management, entrepreneurship, or digital transformation. With targeted language training, students will be prepared for a tightly integrated semester abroad in the fifth semester (only for dual work-study and full-time students) at one of the hwtk’s cooperating universities, for example, in New York. Study models: Dual work-study: Our dual work-study model incorporates practical experience into your studies by splitting the week. You will spend 20 hours per week with us at the university and 20 hours – the other half of your week – working at a cooperating company, your second place of learning. This optimal mix of study and practical application has an important advantage; the cooperating company you work at can give you responsibilities or include you in projects at any time, because you will be working together continually. Full-time: If you would like to complete your studies as quickly and flexibly as possible, our full-time studies are the perfect option for you! Full-time studies at the hwtk are characterised by the close-knit interrelationship between knowledge and practice. In addition to the professors on staff, experienced lecturers from industry impart their insider knowledge to the students. Internships serve to deepen and consolidate knowledge further. Distance Learning: With self-study, you will work through the course material at your own pace. You can take your exams at a hwtk study and test centre that is conveniently located near you. The blended learning approach of the distance learning model includes materials that are available online and the attendance of real-time online classes. The use of multimedia tools for the transfer of knowledge creates a distance learning experience that need not be inferior to on-campus studies.
